Membership Requirements
Membership in Rainier Valley Rotary is open to any person of good character. An existing member introduces you to the club, or you can get to know an existing member who will vouch for you. The minimum meeting attendance requirement for our club is 2 meetings per month. Members can make-up missed meetings by attending a meeting of another club. Some committe meetings may also count toward the attendance requirement. Members are charged a monthly $30 meetings fee. The dues are currently $125 to join the club/annual and $10 per meeting. The $125 funds programs run by Rotary District 5030, and Rotary International. So if someone attended two meetings per month (coffee, tea, fruit, croissants included!) the annual cost would be $125 + $360 = $485. Note: some members choose to commit to "perfect attendance" - i.e. 50 meetings per year. Rotary members who donate $1000 or more to Rotary International receive membership in the "Paul Harris" fellowship because their commitment goes beyond that of an average rotary member.
